Blind Poker
Version 1.00
▒▒▒▌OVERVIEW/FEATURES▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
This door is a variation of a poker game. It is a simple game to
play. Many people have played it at one time or another. You win
by having the high card the only thing is you can't see your card
until after you make your bets or fold. You may choose an opponent
or play the house. The house will only have $300.00 dollars on hand
each visit if you bust the house you will not be able to challenge
the house again until your next visit.
The other opponents are simply other bbs members who have played.
A person may challenge another member and wipe him/her out and later
when the other member enters he/she may choose the Check your Cash
option and be notified of who and when their cash was changed. The
opposite scenario is possible as well if you challenge another member
and lose that members cash will increase.
If it is your first visit or you are busted you will be awarded
$150.00 for that days activities. You may only collect that once a
day.
Each members pot will increase to maximum of $30,000.00 once a
person exceeds this amount all files are cleared and play starts over
from the beginning.
One other short note. If two cards have the same value say 6 of
hearts and 6 of spades the high card will be the higher suit, spades
in this case.

▒▒▒▌INSTALLATION▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
1. Create a directory and put all the files in that directory
2. Modify the blndpkr1.CFG (directions to follow)
3. Create a door(?).run or door(?).bat (see below)
EXAMPLE DOOR(?).RUN and DOOR(?).BAT
This is an example door.run that I'm using to run Blind Poker
on my system. It's in my node1 directory as Door3.run.
Cd\wc30\blndpkr ' the path to the directory I have my Poker files in.
blndpkr 1 ' the executable and the node number.
NOTE: Tell Wildcat that the Door is NOT multiuser. That way Wildcat
won't allow more than one member in the door at the same time.
▒▒▒▌THE CONFIG FILE▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
blndpkr1.cfg is a simple one line configuration file which should be
in the directory you have all your Blind Poker files in.
Let's look at the one line:
Line #1: The Path To Your Door.sys File (eg. C:\Wc30\Wcwork\Node1\Door.sys)
▒▒▒▌REGISTRATION▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
As a general rule, I am totally against "crippleware" so the only other
alternative is a key. I also realize that most keys can be broken so
in the end it's really up to the sysop and the door. We've tried to keep
the cost down because we know that running a bbs is expensive.
So, what does it cost to register Blind Poker you ask?
How does $10 sound?
Hope it sounds OK cause that's the registration fee. If you like the program
then send us $10 and you'll get a permanent key right away.
NOTE: This is the first version of Blind Poker. Future
versions will probably be more expensive. If you
register now the price is $10. So, why not get in
on the ground floor now while it's cheap <G>.
Simply Fill Out the registration form (REG.TXT), Print it
out, put a check (or money order) for at least $10 and the form
in an envelope and pop it in the mail.
As soon as we receive your check (or money order) we will create
a key for you and put it in the Taylor Pruitt file section of our
BBS. Or, contact us netmail at Fidonet 1:296/4 and we'll put it on
hold for you.
